1955 Jaguar XK140 MC
This car raced six times by Rodney Carveth in closed circuit sports events, who then sold it to Charles "Andy" Anderson. Anderson decided to customize the hard top coupe to create a drag racer/show car.
Created by Joe Wilhelm, won consecutive trophies at Pebble Beach in 1957 and 1958, a class award at Hillsborough in 1957 and was the cover car for the 1958 Hillborough program. It also won the judge's Sweepstakes at the San Jose Autorama and was named one of the top-ten custom automobiles int he US for 1958.
The engine was rebuilt by John Thompson of Paxton products who arranged to use the jaguar as the prototype for the Paxton supercharger installation for Jaguars.
